about

The Sunland Singers formed in January of 2012 for the purpose of recording Sunland. We recorded the album at Forever House in south Minneapolis during one week of April 2012. A lot of love was put into this album.

Here is a video of us performing live on the radio this one time:

Mason Butler played bass on all the tracks, sang backing vocals on most of them, and played the guitar solos on "Mineral Bomb" and "Hey Hey What What (Yeah)."

David Schmitz played guitar on "Don't Cave to the Wave" and "In Dumps Down," piano on "Family is Pretty Alright," sang backing vocals on pretty much everything, and contributed an intangible yet substantial influence by being there for the whole thing.

Andrew Jansen played drums on all the tracks, the guitar solos on "Don't Cave to the Wave" and "Morning in Sunland," and sang backing vocals on pretty much everything.

Eric Funn played guitar on all tracks except "In Dumps Down" and sang lead vocals on everything.

Elizabeth Krych played violin on "Take a Chance, Honey" and "Hey Hey Yeah Yeah" and sang backing vocals on a bunch of the tracks.

Gabriel Rodriguez sang backing vocals on a bunch of tracks.

Joanie Rich made it just in time after work to sing backing vocals on "Sunland II."
